From Survival to Storytelling: The Story Behind Grace Trippitt

In her Legacy Bench conversation, Grace Trippitt shares a story shaped by resilience, lived experience, and a powerful drive to turn personal adversity into purpose-led work across writing, wellbeing, and human connection.

Grace works across multiple disciplines, in Human Resources, personal training, and writing, building a career that blends people development with storytelling and lived experience. Alongside her day-to-day role in HR, she is actively pitching articles to major outlets and developing her voice as a writer focused on helping others feel less alone.

Her journey, however, is defined by experiences that began long before her professional path.

At just 11 years old, Grace was present at the Manchester Arena bombing, an event that had a profound and lasting impact on her mental health and sense of safety. In the years that followed, she navigated significant personal challenges, including treatment for anorexia and ongoing support for PTSD. These experiences shaped her early life, but they did not define her future.

Instead, they became the foundation of her purpose.

By 19, Grace qualified as a personal trainer, beginning to build wellbeing-focused work that extended beyond fitness into emotional support and community connection. Alongside this, writing, a passion she has pursued since the age of 15, became a consistent outlet for expression and impact. From contributing to her local newspaper to winning awards during her education, her voice has steadily grown in confidence and reach.

More recently, she has begun securing paid writing opportunities, marking an important step in her development as a storyteller and communicator.

At the centre of Grace’s journey is a clear mission: to use her platform to help others feel seen, understood, and less isolated in their own experiences. Whether through writing, fitness, or HR, her work is rooted in empathy, connection, and the belief that shared stories can support healing.

Grace is now focused on building a larger platform where these worlds can come together — combining wellbeing, storytelling, and lived experience to create meaningful impact for others navigating similar challenges.

Her story reflects not just survival, but transformation: a commitment to turning pain into purpose and experience into something that can help others move forward.

At her core, Grace represents resilience in action, someone determined to use her voice to create space, understanding, and hope for others.
