Meet Sky — The Family Solicitor Guiding Clients Through Life’s Most Difficult Moments
Sky Langwieser is a Family Solicitor at Hall Brown, based in the firm’s Manchester office, where she advises clients on complex family law matters including divorce, financial remedies, nuptial and cohabitation agreements, and private children cases. Having taken an unconventional route into the legal profession, Sky combines technical expertise with empathy, helping people navigate some of the most emotional and life-changing moments they will ever experience.
At the heart of Sky’s work is a belief that outstanding legal advice is about more than understanding the law. It is about helping people feel supported, informed, and confident during periods of uncertainty. Whether working on matters involving significant assets, cross-border considerations, or highly sensitive family disputes, she is committed to ensuring every client feels listened to, respected, and at ease throughout the legal process.
Sky’s journey into law has been defined by determination and resilience. After completing her A-Levels in 2014, she chose a legal apprenticeship rather than the traditional university route, studying while working full-time. She went on to qualify in 2024 through CILEx and the University of Law, demonstrating that there is no single path to building a successful legal career. Her experience continues to inspire junior colleagues who are pursuing their own professional ambitions.
Having spent eight of Hall Brown’s ten years with the firm, Sky has become an integral part of its culture. Alongside her work with clients, she regularly mentors and supports junior members of the team across the firm’s six offices, sharing her knowledge, delivering training, and helping to develop the next generation of legal professionals. She also serves as Social Secretary for the Manchester Young Resolution Committee and has twice been shortlisted for the Manchester Young Talent Awards as one of the city’s most promising rising stars.
Inspired by her senior colleagues at Hall Brown, Sky admires their professionalism, drive, and ability to balance demanding legal careers with family life. Their example has reinforced her belief that success is built through hard work, resilience, and supporting those around you, values she strives to demonstrate in her own career every day.
But Sky’s ambitions extend beyond delivering excellent legal advice. She is passionate about making the legal process feel more human, helping clients navigate relationship breakdowns with honesty, compassion, and clarity while creating an environment where colleagues can also learn, grow, and thrive.
Her mindset is simple but powerful: people may not choose the circumstances that bring them to a family lawyer, but they deserve to feel supported every step of the way.
