Richard Green is a residential and commercial construction contractor whose career has been built on more than two decades of practical experience, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to raising standards across the construction industry. From starting out in property maintenance over 22 years ago to delivering complex, architecturally ambitious developments, Rick has earned a reputation for combining technical expertise with a long-term vision for how the industry can evolve.
Beginning with maintenance services for letting agents and property management companies, Rick steadily expanded his business through home refurbishments, garage conversions, extensions, and large-scale residential renovations. His projects became increasingly ambitious, featuring bespoke craftsmanship and innovative design, including homes showcased in House Beautiful magazine, smart home automation, structural glazing, reclaimed materials, and highly complex architectural detailing. More recently, his work has expanded into commercial developments, including the renovation of a 162-apartment block, alongside designing and developing his own residential projects.
At the heart of Richard’s work is a belief that the construction industry deserves better systems, stronger collaboration, and greater professionalism.
After years of managing increasingly complex projects, Rick recognised that many of the challenges affecting construction businesses are not isolated problems but systemic issues shared across the industry. Rather than accepting these obstacles as unavoidable, he has made it his mission to help reform the way residential construction projects are delivered, creating better outcomes for contractors, clients, and the wider industry alike.
Driven by this vision, Richard is developing an app-supported contract framework designed to formalise construction workflows, improve communication, and educate everyone involved in the building process. His ambition is to create a more collaborative industry where contractors, clients, and professional trades work together through shared systems rather than operating independently, reducing conflict, improving accountability, and helping businesses become more sustainable.
