With a career in digital spanning more than 25 years, Darren has built a reputation for combining commercial thinking with a people-first approach, helping businesses see their websites not as online brochures, but as powerful tools for growth.
Having worked in digital since 1999, Darren has supported a diverse range of organisations, including globally recognised brands such as eBay, JD Sports, and the English Football League. Through Courageous, he works with businesses of all sizes, helping them unlock the full potential of their online presence and make digital a central part of their wider growth strategy.

Driven by a passion for helping organisations succeed, Darren is committed to making high-quality digital expertise more accessible. He believes that when businesses invest in the right digital foundations, they create opportunities not only for growth, but for long-term resilience and success.
Beyond business, Darren has always been passionate about giving back and embracing new experiences. Over the years, he has served as an ambassador for Forever Manchester, supported the local community as a director at Oldham Athletic Football Club, and pursued a love of travel that has taken him to more than 65 countries around the world. He has also twice completed the world’s longest obstacle race, reflecting the resilience and determination that define both his personal and professional life.
Inspired by his late mentor, Paul Maxwell, Darren continues to lead with the values that shaped his own journey: hard work, integrity, delivering results, and being a decent person both in business and beyond. Paul’s influence remains a guiding force in how Darren approaches leadership, often asking himself, “How would Paul handle this?”
But Darren’s ambitions extend beyond building successful websites. His personal mission is to keep learning, growing, and experiencing everything life has to offer, while creating a meaningful life for himself and his two children.
